• Content You Provide: This includes: AI Prompts/Inputs (text you enter into the chat interface, which are sent to the Gemini API for processing) and Journal Entries (text, sighting details like species, location, timestamp, and images uploaded for the 'My Journal' feature, which are saved to Firebase).

3.2. Data Collected from Third-Party Services

• Google Account Data (via OAuth 2.0): We use Google's OAuth 2.0 protocol for authentication. When you sign in with your Google Account, you grant us permission to access your profile information, specifically your name and email address. This is necessary for user identification and account management within our App. We do not collect, access, or store any other information from your Google Account beyond your name and email address.

3.3. App Feature Data

• Achievement Data: We collect and store achievement progress (Badges) in your secure user profile document to provide the personalized achievement tracking features of the App.

4. How and Why We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To Provide and Maintain the App: This includes: Account Management (using name and email) and Cloud Journal Storage (using Firebase to store your journal entries, sighting details, and images to provide the personalized "My Journal" feature, sync data across devices, and ensure data retention).

• To Process AI Requests: The text of your AI prompts is sent to the Google Gemini API to generate a response. This processing is strictly for the AI functionality of the App.

• To Improve Our Services: We may use aggregated and anonymized data about App usage to analyse trends, monitor performance, and improve the functionality of the Natural AI App. This data does not personally identify you.

• To Track Achievements: We use the stored Achievement Data (Badges) to provide personalized achievement tracking and gamification features within the App.

5. How We Share Your Data

We do not share your personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Natural AI, except in the following limited circumstances:

• With Your Consent: We will only share personal information outside of our organisation with your explicit consent.

• For External Processing: We use third-party service providers (Google LLC) to help us operate and provide our services. Your AI prompts and input data are shared with the Google Gemini API to generate the AI responses. Separately, your personal Journal Data, Image Data, and Achievement Data are stored and processed using Google Firebase to provide secure cloud storage, multi-device syncing, and achievement tracking. This data is not shared with any other third party, and is solely used to provide the core app functionality.

• For Legal Reasons: We may share personal information if we have a good-faith belief that access, use, preservation, or disclosure of the information is reasonably necessary to:

  • Meet any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or enforceable governmental request.

  • Enforce applicable Terms of Service, including investigation of potential violations.

  • Detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

The core functionality of the Natural AI App relies on the Google Gemini API. When you use the App, your prompts are sent to Google's servers for processing by the Gemini models.

6.1. Google Firebase

To enable cloud-based storage, data security, and multi-device access for your personal records, we use Firebase (Google LLC) to process and store your data.

The data stored in Firebase includes:

• Journal Data: All saved journal entries, including sighting details (species, location, timestamp) and associated text.

• Image Data: Full-resolution images (in Firebase Storage) and associated thumbnail data (in Firestore) uploaded through the 'My Journal' feature.

• Achievement Data: Your personalized achievement progress and Badges, stored in your secure user profile document.

Security and Access: This data is strictly protected using your unique User ID and Firebase Security Rules. This ensures that only you can access, read, or write your personal records, and this data is used solely to provide your personalized journal and badge-tracking features.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your user account information (name and email) for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at info@naturalai.online.
